Educational Materials Available for Astoria Nordic Heritage Park
FREE downloadable materials for all ages are available and visitors are encouraged to use them to plan and prepare for a real or virtual visit to Astoria Nordic Park. The education project has been funded by the Astoria Scandinavian Heritage Association and a grant from the Clatsop County Cultural Coalition.
Interpreting Astoria Nordic Park for 3rd to 5th Graders
This downloadable pdf contains 76 pages of background information, coloring sheets, activity sheets for before, after, and during a visit to the Nordic Park. Pick and choose or use it all to plan a virtual or real field trip to the park. The materials were created by a team of teacher consultants from Lewis and Clark Elementary School in Astoria. Students will learn about immigration issues and Astoria's heritage based on contributions from Nordic immigrants.

Astoria Nordic Park is located at 1590-92 Marine Drive and is open 24 hours per day. The park has a story line that starts on the River Walk and proceeds up the Grand Entrance staircase and ramp.
